Update Your Home With Refinished Cabinets
If you’re one to tackle do-it-yourself projects and are itching to do some home renovation, a good place to start is cabinets-both kitchen and bathroom. Old, worn, and out-dated cabinets are an eye-sore, even if the rest of the room is updated. Luckily, cabinets can easily and inexpensively be refinished to look modern and new.
Refinishing cabinets is a step-by-step process; if you want the best results you need to follow all of the steps. First, begin by removing all of the doors from the cabinets and then also remove the hardware. Cleaning is the next step: scrub all dirt and grease off with a rag and hot soapy water. Next, sand off the old finish from the doors and then wipe away the dust.
After the cleaning and sanding is done, you can begin the painting process. Using an oil-based primer allows the paint to go on evenly and as the color you want it to be.
